Golgumbaz Express to Badami Railway Station

The daily Golgumbaz Express connects Bangalore and Mysore directly to Badami Station (BDM), located 4km from the town. The train features comfortable AC Sleeper coaches. Tickets cost ₹380 - ₹1,400. Caves open 6am–6pm; arrive by 6:30am to beat tour groups that arrive after 9am. Wear grip shoes — the carved steps inside Cave 3 are steep and polished.
